Diagnostic Balancing
The main culprit for a vibration on a vehicle is balancing, but balancing alone is not always the cure. Road Force is the hidden cause for many issues but it can only be measured by a special machine which we have at Multi Tyre Service.
A Diagnostic Road Force Balancer uses 5 laser cameras to scan the entire rim/tyre assembly. Not only does it measure road force, but it can measure and show us how to rotate the tyre on the rim to minimize road force. It’s algorithm is so advanced, it can even tell us what position on the car each wheel should go to minimize vibrations even further.
We always use the best technology available.

Wheel Balancing
A vibration on your steering wheel could be a sign that your wheels are not balanced correctly. Everyday driving can affect the balance of your tyres and incorrect balancing not only causes vibration in the steering wheel and dashboard making it uncomfortable to drive, but also causes premature wear of tyres, rapid wear of suspension parts, affects the performance of your vehicles road holding & handling and fuel efficiency.
You may not always sense an imbalance at the steering wheel. It could be present but dampened by the vehicle weight. This is why balancing is equally important for both front and rear wheels. Wheels are balanced on a wheel balancing machine which rotates the tyre and wheel assembly to automatically calculate the weight and location of the balance counter weight.
After wheel balancing, you should notice a smoother ride and better wear from your tyres. You should have your wheels checked or balanced after any impact with a pavement, pothole or stone, when a tyre looks abnormal or every 15,000 kilometers.
